Ah, yes. Who could forget Droopy? Just listening to this pooch talk could make you feel sorry for him. Or give him the boot. But don't let the Sad-Sack appearance fool you. Droopy had many hidden talents, and should be considered a hero for Sackers everywhere.

In the days before Viagra and Zoloft, Tex Avery created this character for MGM in 1943. In doing so, he created years of inspiration and entertainment for the slow, cartoon-addled slackers and "potential-heroes" of the world.
